I hate going to the doctor. I don’t get sick a lot - maybe once or twice a year - and I normally just ignore it, take over the counter stuff, or a combination of both.
Anyway. I had this thing. I’ve been ignoring it for about a year but it’s persisted and gotten worse so I finally broke down, went to the doctor and got a couple of prescriptions.
It’s been two days and my symptoms are virtually gone. This has been plaguing me for a YEAR, and the whole time the solution was so simple and the relief immediate - if I had just dealt with the issue rather than ignoring it.
If I ever contract a life threatening illness I’m totally screwed.
God, I am so stupid sometimes I don’t even know. No more of that. My shitty insurance covers four office visits a year and I am going to use them. I won’t wait that long again.
(Maybe like six months but definitely not a year.)
